Lynch Mob Calls is proud to announce the appointment of champion turkey caller and waterfowl hunter, Jason Pollack as Pro Staff Manager for Lynch Mob Calls.
"I could not be more proud to have Jason help manage this team," said George Lynch, founder of Lynch Mob Calls. "As a hunter and a father, Jason is about the best kind of man you can hope to call a friend. Honest. Ethical. Caring. Passionate about hunting. And he's got a great sense of humor. I'm honored to call Jason a friend and a brother."
Having the heavily forested areas, fields, meadows, and wetlands of the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate NY as the backdrop for his upbringing, it’s no wonder Jason found his passion in wildlife. Born and raised in the Finger Lakes, Jason’s introduction to hunting was as an enthusiastic youngster that began his hunts with small game and evolved to include big game as soon as he could. However, even at a young age he discovered that one of his true loves would always be the spring turkey season.
With a large, multi-generational family actively involved in fishing and hunting, there was no shortage of teachers with experience to share that led him to not only have a passion for hunting but for conservation and strong youth involvement. As a father of four fantastic kids, Jason recognizes how important youth hunters are to the future of the sport.
Feeling strongly about giving kids the opportunity to get out and experience hunting he volunteered to guide his first Yates County Youth Turkey Hunt in 2010 and has participated every youth season since. Jason has also been a guide for the youth waterfowl hunt at Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge. Additionally, Jason is a NYS Hunters Safety instruction. He plans to continue volunteering and educating youth hunters at every opportunity.
Jason’s initiation to turkey calling began at age 12 using a friction call. He was hooked when he called in his first adult bird. It wasn’t until 2008 that he decided to try his luck in his first calling competition and, although he had no idea what he was getting into, he took second place in his division. With each competition he has gained valuable experience and has since taken 1st Place in the State Senior Open Division in New York, Maine, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Vermont, and has placed first in several other NWTF sanctioned competitions. Jason continues to compete at every opportunity to include Nashville, TN for the Grand Nationals.
In 2006 Jason was introduced to waterfowl hunting and he has been hook ever since. He first picked up a goose call and once he was proficient he moved on to learning how to duck call. Over the years Jason has become very versatile caller and avid waterfowl hunter. The finger-lakes region is a mecca for waterfowl and provides a great area to hunt both fields and water. Jason can often be found hunting in a field or boat with his children at his side.
Hunting has had a huge influence on Jason’s life. He and his wife, Megan, regularly hunt together and with their children. When Jason is not hunting, he is spending time with his family.
